Saint James will buy the gift cards at a discounted amount and sell them to you at face value. The discount amounts vary from 2% to 13%, which is how the church makes the money on this fund raising program.

All you have to do is plan ahead. We currently have Giant Eagle and Springfield Restaurant Group on hand for immediate sale to you. See the order form to complete and bring back to church on Sundays from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM along with your cash or check. Your order must be paid in full when turned in. Then pick your order up the following week between the Sunday Masses.

St. James the Apostle Parish (referred to herein as "we," "us" and "our") sponsors a scrip program (Bonus Bucks) which allows you to purchase scrip. The scrip you purchase through our program generates rebates from the participating retailers. These rebates can be used as a gift to the church and/or cash back to you. The parties agree as follows:

1. We agree to apply the balance of your rebates as designated below (please insert desired percentages):

______% as a charitable contribution to the church (potentially deductible by you)

______% as a cash rebate to you (NOT deductible by you)

2. For administering the scrip program, we will retain _____% of the rebates received from your scrip purchases as an administration fee (NOT deductible by you).

With respect to your charitable contributions, we will provide you with all required acknowledgements under sections 170(f)(8) and 170(f)(17) of the Internal Revenue Code.

You agree to indemnify us against any loss incurred in connection with there being insufficient funds in your account to cover the checks or ACH transfers you issue to pay for your scrip. We make no representations or warranties of any kind with respect to the scrip. This agreement continues unless replaced by another, and can be terminated by either of us upon 60 day’s advance notice to the other.
