| PRAYER MEETING | ||
| Once a month the high school youth from Lawrence County gather for the rosary, refreshments and a social. The next gathering will be Sunday, February 21 at 3:00 PM at St. Joseph the Worker Parish in New Castle. All teens are welcome! | ||
| SOUPER BOWL OF CARING | ||
 Begun in 1990, the “Souper Bowl of Caring” collection is an
opportunity for teens to fight hunger and poverty in their
local community. We have been participating in this
national project of collecting money on Super Bowl weekend
for several years. Every dollar collected is donated
directly to the charity of each group’s choice. Last year
at St. James we collected $300 for our parish food bank!!!
So, when you see the teens with their soup bowls and pots in
hand, standing at the doors of the church after all Masses
on the weekend of February 6/7, please be generous
and help us to feed the hungry in our corner of the world.
"Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help
us to be mindful of those who are without even a bowl of
soup to eat." |

ROCKS Movie Night was SO inspirational!!! We all enjoyed the movie “5 People You Meet in Heaven.” So many life lessons were packed into this wonderful movie…..”Strangers are just friends you haven’t met yet.” Really made us think how our every action affects others – or even our lack of action. Every word is powerful just as every word unspoken holds the ability to change things. Joey, Brittany, Alysia, Leigha and Janiel can tell you more about it. slips for all ROCKS events can be picked up from the Youth
Ministry Box located in the church office hallway. You can
drop off the completed forms there also, but do not leave
money. Turn all money in to one of the youth leaders or at the parish office in a marked envelope. Thank you! |

| Yes! Yes! Yes! We are counting on St. James ROCKS to make our GIFT sessions really ROCK! Our new and exciting intergenerational approach to faith formation, G.I.F.T. or Growing In Faith Together, is designed for everyone in the parish including all the high school teens. We need your enthusiasm and life! Come join the adults and children of the parish in learning, sharing, laughing, dining, and praying together. | ||

to see when you can help with this Parish Fundraiser. If we
can get the help of ALL teens by signing up for only one
Fish Dinner --- that would be GREAT!!! Jenifer Williamson
is organizing this schedule, so you may contact her to find
out where/when the help is needed most. THANKS for

have two (2) delicious PUMPKIN PIES is the freezer looking
for a good home. These quick and yummy desserts are only $9
each. If you “adopt” one of these pies for your very own –
just leave a check in the Youth Ministry Wall Pocket.
