CATHOLIC UPDATE

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the U.S. bishops’ pastoral letter “Economic Justice for All.”  The scriptural foundations and the key ethical themes of the letter are still relevant for addressing today’s tough economic times.  In the current issue of the Catholic Update, Fr. Kenneth Overberg, SJ summarizes the context and content of the pastoral letter, especially the Christian vision of economic life.  He also explores how ethics and economics mix in today’s world and our role in it.  Pick up a free copy of the CU each month from the table in the narthex.  Read it and see what you think!
